The following list of answers to Frequently Asked Questions is provided as an initial guide in addressing the recruitment process and conditions of employment with SRT Group Pty Ltd.
1. How do I apply for a position with SRT Group Pty Ltd?
All applications must be made in writing; we will only accept applications that are emailed. In order to be considered for employment with SRT Group Pty Ltd your resume must be up-to-date and received as either a Word or .pdf document.
2. What happens if SRT Group Pty Ltd doesn't have an immediate vacancy?
If we do not have a vacancy that matches your knowledge, skills and abilities we reserve the right to retain your resume on file for three months.
3. What is involved in the recruitment process?
As part of the recruitment process your knowledge, skills and abilities will be assessed against the specific requirements of the role. We will conduct a formal interview with you, this may be a face-to-face interview (preferred), Video conference or by Telephone. Before an offer is made we will meet you in person.
Some positions may require client specific testing, such as:
- Abilities and temperament assessments (paid for by SRT Group Pty Ltd);
- Pre-employment medicals (arranged & paid for by SRT Group Pty Ltd);
- Security clearances, including Police Clearance, Defence Clearance, etc (candidate to arrange)
- Drug and Alcohol Testing
All applicants should note that SRT Group Pty Ltd has a zero tolerance to illegal drugs and alcohol in the work place. It is a requirement that employees taking prescription medication that may affect their person safety or the safety of any other person must advise SRT Group Pty Ltd and give permission for SRT Group Pty Ltd to notify the client (this will not exclude you from employment by SRT Group Pty Ltd, it does allow us to put in place measures to ensure your safety and that of others).
4. When do you contact my referees?
Contact is made with referees at the final stage of the employment process; by that stage we are confident that we will know you, your knowledge, skills and abilities. We're confident in our judgement; however as a formal process by providing us with referee details we assume that you have provided permission for us to contact them. In all cases we absolutely respect your privacy, so if you do not wish us to contact your current employer you must advise us.
5. Does SRT Group Pty Ltd have a performance appraisal system?
Yes, your performance and professional development is based on mutually agreed Key Performance Targets. These are set annually but are subject to mutual ongoing review during your employment. As a valued member of the SRT Group Pty Ltd family your ongoing job satisfaction, life balance and input into the company is essential to our mutual success.
6. Dose SRT Group Pty Ltd support further education and professional development?
This was partially answered previously; it simply makes good business sense to have a dedicated, highly skilled and experienced workforce. We will support training and development activities that are aligned with our business needs, this may include financial support.
7. Do I need to wait for an advertisement before I apply?
No, you can send us an application and resume at any stage, in fact most positions are filled before they are advertised. As stated earlier we will retain your resume on file for three months if your knowledge, skills and experience is of interest.
